Muscat: Rainfall of varying intensity was recorded in parts of the Sultanate of Oman at around 1.48 pm on Wednesday, Oman Meteorology said.
Some showers could develop into thunderstorms accompanied by strong downdraft winds, with weather activity expected to expand to more areas over the coming hours.
Oman Meteorology added that the rainfall could lead to the flow of streams and wadis.
